Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan broke the Senate rules and the video is everywhere on the Internet. She INSISTED that she was above the Senate rules, instead of apologizing and move on. She was eventually suspended for breaking the Senate rules. QED.
And what made this issue very interesting to me is that she was not the first Senator whose seat would be changed in the Senate. This issue of changing of Seat and the rule of the senate has been there since 2015 as far as I could remember. Other Senior Senators even testified to how their own seats have been changed.
In one of the similar imbroglio of change of seat when Senator Saraki was the Senate President, Senator Akpabio was openly rebuked for insisting that he wouldn’t take the newly allocated seat. Right there and then, he apologized on the floor of the Senate and that case ended there. That’s what MATURITY is all about, anyone can be wrong. But what is wrong is to insist that you are RIGHT when the wrong has been proven wrong.
So, that Sakamanje of going to Brekete and Arise TV to DIVERT issues using MEDIA NARRATIVES to confuse everything is the lowest level of intelligence.
